6_18_Lynchburg Tn

We continue being tourists by going to Lynchburg, Tn and stopping in at the Jack Daniels Distillery in the driest county in Tn. Anita and Bob have been here once before, but only on the short tour, this time we took the tasty tour, whereby at the end you get to taste five different Jack Daniel Whiskys. This is something you do NOT do on an empty stomach.

The tour last about 1 Hr 10 Min. and is a walking tour, including taking steps. It takes you from when Jack first started trying to make his whisky, death, and finally into a multi-billion-dollar business.

Once we were done, it was off to main street, where you find it is a company town, as JD really owns a lot of it. The main reason is to keep the towns folks employed in Moore County. We ended up at Miss Mary BoBo's Boarding House for Dinner, reservations ARE required.  Highly recommend as this luncheon feast really showcases how a southern dinner is done, including a hostess to guide the event. Bring your appetite, as there is lots of good down home cooking.

We also managed to locate a small Rv park in the center of town - in Wiseman Park:

Della always knows what to say.

"That's my story and I'm sicking to it"
“SeeYa, Safe and Happy Journeys”

"DaGirls Rv, Me, Della, Susan & Tilly"
