Heading to Show Low

So, what happen? Well we had lunch with Chad & Kitty on Monday. We came back, saw how early it was, and said why not. Why not what? Leave now for Show Low. So, we spent 15 minutes and we were gone.

We weren't 15 minutes on the road and our generator cough and sputter and quick. Nothing else to do but continue on our way. Our first goal, was Fillmore, Ut., for fuel. At that time, I listen to the generator and determine that the fuel pump was not running. Nothing else to do, except to continue to our destination, just outside of Kanab, Ut.

Arrived around 7:30 pm. Setup in the Hog Canyon turn-off. Large space, easy in and out.

Do the fact that it is me, and I am always different in working arrangements, I had the driver's side cover off in less then 5 minutes. For those of you without a Alfa Rv with a Generac generator, you would know it takes 30 minutes just to take that cover off. In my mind I knew that it was not the pump. Sure enough I was correct.

Notice the red wire? It broke due to strain and movement.

Well, fixed, closed up and tested in less then 30 minutes.

I drove the first segment, Susan drove the second, from I-15 to Hwy 20 and then we switched out. Susan was a trooper, this was her really first Mountain Driving with Inclines and Declines and curves. She did grate.

We exchanges at a non-descript rest stop, 30 miles from Kanab. I drove until we can to our final overnight spot.

We did notice a couple of things. A great place for a work out hike, horse riding, bow targeting practice.

Provo - Elks Lodge

Oops no room at the Inn. Well almost, the Elks lodge has 5 FHU sites @$20 night. Many dry camping at $5. Susan had her fingers cross, hoping we get a FHU. However, we knew worst case, we would dry camp. When we arrived all 5 FHU sites were filled along with 5, rigs dry camping.

But lo and behold, one MH was just pulling out, and since this is a first come, first serve. Well we are settled in with FHU.

There we are
Now along the ride, Oh did I mention I was unable to drive today? Reason, well Susan decided not to give up the wheel. But in her defense, I really did not care. However we I did spy a few shots of strange and unique things.

Along with a Range Bull on the side

UFO has landed in Utah

Small load on the Hwy.

Carries his own home while on the job.
Dakota was thinking really hard about being the Co-Pilot today.

And finally, Susan was being careful with the puzzle on the table. Oops the table fell over and there went the puzzle.

Anyway, here we are for a few days seeing friends, then we will continue our trip south.

Downey Idaho

Our Goal was Blackfoot, Idaho, where we had stayed. The Inn was full, plus they were prepping for Fireworks on Sat. 6/26.

With 10 wheels, we continue heading south, until we reach Downey, where for 20 gallons of fuel, we have a FHU site. not the best looking place, but free.

Along the way, the most better shots happen to fast to get a photo, but, when they say people are traveling? Well that is no joke.

As we traveled thru Yellowstone.

So, this is it folks:
