Happy Mother's Day -

Or what it's like in forest.

Susan, was talking to close friends Deb & Curt, and as all of us, not being able to see each other. Being that Mother's day was coming up, what better way, then to have a picnic.

She choose Sat. instead of Sun., as there was a possibility of rain in the forecast, here in the National Forest. So, this meant a Road Trip, from our current location, down to NF680 just south of Happy Jack Campground.

On Sat. around we (Ray & Karen, Rudy & Beate & us) loaded our cars, including the puppies and headed south. Along the way, we stopped and visit Mormon Lake.

Who were we meeting? Deb & Curt, as they are staying in Payson at the Elk's lodge.

Sunday Solar Update:
Day 7, no generator running Solar only.

It is interesting to note, not all ReSettable Circuit Breakers are the Same.
I have a 125 Amp breaker, this breaker is sized correctly, however, I realized I was seeing a 1 Vdc drop across the terminals and it was warm.
So, I order a different type, increase the current rating, with this one:
Bussmann MRCB breaker 150 amp DC 12-48 volts w/switch, P/N 187150F-03-1.

The biggest difference is the surface area for metal to metal contact of the terminal to stud. To all my friends who I have helped, I do recommend upgrading to this style of breaker. And I am removing a copper style terminal and going with tin plated.

Ok, less show a few photos:

This is along FR613, one of our Dry Camping Spots.
You can see the Arizona Style of Social Distancing.

If you look closely, you might see the Tail of a famous Chocolate lab

One final thought, the National Forest are filled with places you can disperse camping. What do I mean, by this? Using a Self Contained unit (like our Alfa), we can find many places to dry camp and enjoy our forests.

All it takes is a search on the National Forest (NF) Website, locate a map of the NF you are near, and go in search of a spot that will fit the Alfa.

Like always I recommend you scout ahead before taking your Alfa into the forest roads.
Example here is a satellite view of a area we are going to check out:

If you would click on the Photo you will see some little White Spots, to the top left of the building. Those are Rv units Dry Camping.
