Our plan, drive about 400 miles a day, with a final 200 miles on Wed. Ending at the Elks Lodge in Portland, OR., on Thursday. The next day drive to the Roadmaster Facility, where we will pick up our vehicle and perform a fit test and evaluation of everything.
The map of your route of course is on the right side of the blog. Clicking on it (like photos) will enlarge it for your viewing.
Our destination today is Green River, UT., 400 miles distance from Show Low. We are heading up US Hwy 191, which even though it states 60 MPH, it is not a over 60mph for Motorhomes. No shoulders, it is in need of big maintenance, due to old frost heaves, cracks. 50 maybe even 55mph is the safest speed for this US Hwy, in my opinion.
By the way, US Hwy 191 is a spur of parent US Route 91, starts in Az., traveling up to the US – Canada border. Which we have almost been on this highway all the way to Canada.
As I mentioned, in the last blog. We choose a new Ford F-150 XLT truck. We left off all the Bells and Whistles, which seems a lot of our friends in the what. Basic, is all the new safety equipment and features. 3.5 eco-boost, along with 4x4 package, Max-Tow package, bucket seats, keyless entry, all the normal power stuff. 10 speed transmission and other odds and ends. Oh, and a free trial of Ford Blue-Cruise driving control. So, no more 6 passengers’ vehicle.
Seems strange, driving the Rv, and yet not seeing a tow vehicle in the backup camera. By the way the color of our new truck is called Ford Avalanche, a very different color. So, we are driving an Earthquake and towing an Avalanche behind us.
Also, the CrazeTerrible Eight (that was their description) have departed back for Illinois. They left on Saturday, early around 0830.
This is good and bad, wonderful seeing old family and the new family. How well they have combined together. I do think the new family would have loved to get out into the backwoods without the rest of them. Next time, I will ensure they get out and see AZ, without the parents or the young ones tagging along next time.
We lander after a 8 hour drive in a Love's Car/Rv park, with out 10% discount, it nice for a 1 night. FHU, which we are only using electric, as the temp is in the high 90's. There are 8 sites, easy to back in. There is also a small dog park, which lot's of puppies vehicles are using.

A nice side bar, on this leg of the journey we were getting 8.4 MPH. Goes to show you what getting rid of towing a 6000 lb vehicle will do.
Susan and I split the driving. We each drove 100 miles, then changed out. Oh, as we were leveling, our Level System went out. So, tomorrow morning will be spent on the phone and troubleshooting the system. Then the Automatic Wingard Satellite Antenna decided to give me fits. I suspect it was the wind causing it to use signal. Again, we'll wait till sometime later to check it out for now - streaming will do it for now.
Safe Journeys and Travels
