I will catch everyone up on the who, what and where. Currently we are at the Elks Lodge #1558, in Carlsbad, NM. We left Lake Colorado City State Park, Saturday Morning. This was after our first real rain storm.
That Hail you see is 1 inch in diameter, luckily, we did not get much hail.
Our Starlink went from facing Satellites
To flat - loss of complete satellite signal
Least not as bad as the rest of Central and East Texas has received.
The Image you see below was created by Google Timeline. Timeline keeps track of where go and how we get there. Sometimes it is easier then downloading the data/route from our Garmin Rv GPS.
It will also keep track where we stop, and include a question to me as to where exactly we stopped, if there is more then 1 place.
This Elks lodge is really not setup for more then 2 large Rv, but using some thinking, 2 maybe 3 would be able to connect to 30amp plug on the same pole. Just make sure you bring your 30/40 ft extension cord.
Let me mention this, Carlsbad is really a small town with the Pecos river running thru it. Is there anything really here? Not really, it is a Oil Town, with a National Park south.
Our plan spend 2 nights here and then leave early Monday and head to Valley of Fire, near Carrizozo, NM. Plan today, go to Carlsbad Caverns, Susan score early tickets to go down to the big caverns.
Our choice, elevator down and up, Walk 1.2 miles down steep incline and take elevator up, along with another mile walking further in and taking the shortcut back.
