Traveling On Da Road

Alright, here we are in Pipe Creek. Susan decided to call a friend and inquired about staying here. Well as it turned out all was good and this is where we landed before going into our Eclipse camping spot. Just a word. 4 Nights of camping for $200 a night. Yes you read that right, $50 a night - no frills camping spot.

Anyway, here we are, waiting till Thursday. Prior to this we landed in Del Rio Elks Lodge, where we surprise our alfa friends, Zielke's, Rodgers and Lasater's.

So what happens when 2 or more Alfa's get together? Mini Rally

Prior to this we were traveling on US Highway 90.

U.S. Route 90 (US 90) is a 607.6 mile highway in Texas that runs east-west from Van Horn to Orange, Texas. It passes through San Antonio and Houston, and continues into Louisiana. US 90 runs concurrently with I-10 for large portion of its route.

Places along the route are example: Marfa, Alpine, Marathon, Langtry, Comstock and Del Rio. Once we left Del Rio, we went thru Brackettville, Uvalde, Hondo and then to Pipe Creek.

US 90 was built in 1927 and was the first roadway to stretch nearly the full width of the state. Traffic decreased significantly when I-10 opened, covering much of the same route in a fraction of the time

Example of history is Langtry, Judge Roy Bean. Yes the famous law west of the Pecos's.
