Well not really going, that is in the physical sense. but in the writing sense.
Where you might ask? Hope, Hope, Ak. You see, or really not see but reading. We have a member who just happens to live in Hope. Originally we thought they lived in Soldotna. Don't ask me where we thought that, but really they have lived in Hope since around 2008 give or take a few years.
Ok, so there we are, parked on the side of the road, around mile 12.5, in a nice pullout, except for the wind, Susan doing a puzzle, me I had just went to bed and the next think I hear is Susan talking to someone and then going outside. Well me, I get up, look outside and say, why not continue this inside.
Yes, I know this is a long story, but it is funny. Susan and Gail have been texting back and forth. Gail and Leonard had just come back from Anchorage, where during the drive they spotted 2 Alfa's on the side of the road, on the Seward Hwy. Who happen to be Venable's and Roger's. They were waiting for the Bore Tide to come in. Well long story be told, Gail & Leonard passed where we were staying, which happened to be on the Hope Hwy, a turn off of the Seward Hwy. Anyway, they arrived home and Leonard say, HEY, we know that Alfa, so next thing you know they turn around come back and here we all are talking at 10pm inside Gus.
Anyway, we / Roadrunners now have a place to stay overnight in Hope Ak. It is a very long driveway, but HEY, they are Alfa Owners and Roadrunners. What more do you want.
Anyway, that is what it is like when you belong to the Framily of Alfa Owners, especially when it is a Chapter.
Anyway, below is a few photos of the area, there is a state campground at the end of the road, BUT it is NOT ok for an Alfa.
Anyway, we can talk more about Gail and Leonard at a later day, along with things to do or really not to do in Hope, Ak.
