What you say? You were Work Camping like 2019. Well, things happen, who knows, with the Covid-19, maybe it was that.
Anyway, we left alot of good friends there:
Rudy & Beata
Dick & Lou
Rob
and even Dave & Nancy.
But what the heck, when one door is closed another will open up. And in this case, we basically have currently 3 positions, we have been offered.
1), Working at a Therapeutic Horse Ranch, yes you read it correctly.
What they offer is a campsite, with water and electric. We would have to either travel out and dump, or maybe get a pumper truck.
2), Douglas County Park system. Charles V. Stanton park.
What they offer is a FHU. 30 min, but maybe 50 amp service. We are waiting on a answer. Duties, keep 40 sites cleaned, clean 1 bath/shower house. Nothing hard, fun walking around next to the South Umpqua River. Basically 5 on 2 off. But in reality about 2 hrs a day.
3), Canyon Ferry Lake, which is a recreation site with many campgrounds. The one we have been invited is the Court Sheriff Campground. Basically the same, but with 50 amp service, 5 days on 2 off. Again, clean fire pits, 3 men/women Vault toilets.
Well maybe 4, as another person replied to Susan's telephone call, saying he would call on Wed.
So, we are starting a very new adventure currently and boy what can we say. All the people we have talked to, have laid out a very easy schedule, easy work, and but most of ALL GOOD COMMUNICATION skills. No more guessing, or being told one thing and then changing their mind.
Anyway, I did capture a few photos.
