Cle Elum, Cle Elum ? What the heck ir where is Cle Elum

Once we crossed back into Washington, stopped into a town called Twisp, yet, you read it, Twisp - no lisp. Hung around for a few days with close friends down on the River Twisp. We headed to Leavenworth, parked at the Safeway, dropped the Rv and went down town.

So, what did I think??? Tourist trap and Tourist town. Nice to walk around, but would I go back and stay for a length of time? Did you read the part about tourist town?

Anyway, off we went, got on 97, and then hwy 990. We were headed to Cle Elum. Home of the Montana Fire Match. Never heard of a Montana Fire Match? Well that's a story for a different time.

So, where are we. Just east of the town, with Rick and Royanne Weber, Alfa owners and close friends. They had invited us a few years ago, anytime we were in the area stopped by, put the slide and jacks out and stay awhile.

The good thing about this?I / we were in need of down time. Just doing nothing, except small jobs on the Rv and just relaxing. But especially just enjoying company with close friends. Including use of a shop with tools.

So, just where are we:

I have been able to complete a few small jobs, that I have been putting off. With the help of Rick and his shop - No Fear. 

Just in case you are wondering, that's Rick digging a new trench for water and WiFi antenna. 

On Wednesday, we headed to the Brick. The Brick? Yep the Brick located in Roslyn, Wa. Known for the hit series " Northern Exposure ". Roslyn, was the town that all the outside filming was done.

 

So, if you are in the area, and have heard of Rick and Royanne, give a shout, and maybe, if they are home and not traveling about in there Rv, who knows.
