Along the way we stopped in to visit Jo & Vonis, great friends and Alfa knowledgeable person.
During our stay, I managed to repair our sensor for our awning. The older style (reed switch) is hard to find, but somehow I managed and scored a direct hit. Well not a complete hit, but I managed to make it work. After a brief test and setting, the awning came in with the wind.
On Wed., we were off on a road trip. Where you might ask? Well it has been many years since we were at Tortilla Flats along the Apache Trail. We spent a quiet time driving out and seeing the scenery along the way. We stopped and had lunch. Susan and I shared a burger along with onion rings, then later shared a small cup of ice cream.
Once back, we started cleaning up, as we were leaving the next day. We decided to leave as early as possible, due to Phoenix traffic. Guess we were excited, as we were up around 5 ish. I walked DaGirls and Susan finished up packing and bringing in the slide.
We escaped at 5:40 and were off. Route took us onto US-60, then to AZ-202, then up onto the Loop 101. We made it to I-17, where we went north to AZ-74, Carefree Hwy., heading west.
We managed to get to that point in a little over an hour. Then onto US/AZ 60, where we are now on US-93.
So as we (Susan, Tilly, Dakota & me), travel on our way, I’ll leave you with this small photo which is will be posted on our Butt wall, Thanks to Double D’s, for helping us start it.
