So, we awoke around 3:45 am, as we were expected to leave at 4:45 for the parade grounds. Once up, Dakota & Tilly outside, coffee, snacks, thermal wear, hats, gloves, sun glasses, camera, and Susan. We were packed and ready to go, oops, where's Pat & Kathleen ? There they are, so off we go for an hour ride down to Pasadena. No traffic - Woo Hoo, fast and easy. Once there, located our assigned seating, checked out the area, Susan & Kathleen went to Ralph's for breakfast and coffee.
And before you know it, it was Show Time. I mean the parade before the parade:
Then it was time for the really big show and Susan captured the fly-over by the B2B Stealth and F-22's:
Susan and I were very lucky to score the end of an isle, she moved aside and I stood next to the rail for the next 2 1/2 hours capturing photos. Susan used her phone until the battery ran down.
Like always - all good things must come to an end and so did this parade. Well not really, as that is when the post-parade begins. Meaning how do 1 million people make their way out?
By walking of course:
And some candid photos, especially of my beautiful wife:
The man in the Hat, I do not know, but it seems he had something in his eye. I hope he gets it out. Now the lady, is a very good friend, Kathleen.
Oh, wait, there he is again.
