Trip to Blanco by the Back Roads

Our journeys to towns or places, we strive for the backroads. What do I mean by backroads? Well, where one of the vehicles on the road has to move over for the oposited vehicle to pass.

Our route started out on Hwy 290, heading East to Austin. Our first turn (right) was onto Upper Albert Rd. Where we connected with FM (Farm to Market) 1632. Once we left Blanco, we turn left onto FM 165 until we reach US Route 290.

Our final stop was the Dripping Springs Distillery, but hey I wanted to check it out like an advance scout.

Anyway, here are some fun photos of Blanco, Tx.

Kerrville or New Truck Tires

After reviewing the Insurance report and agreeing with the Line Item "New Tires" we hopped over to Discount Tire in Kerrville.

Once tires were installed and shopping completed, we used Bring Fido to locate a restaurant "Paw Friendly".

Checked to verified Paw Friendly, arranged seating on the patio. Our server Jen, was quick and responsive to the needs of Dakota and Tilly, while another server, brought treats our. The Homestyle cooking was Gooooood and the service was excellent from both of the servers. Definitely we would come back here again.

Ok, back to the road adventures and unique finds along the way.
Some of you know, I have this thing about Cemeteries. Especially, ones that are long forgotten. While we were at Discount Tire, Dakota and I spied this small one:

Like always, we take the back roads whenever we can. Our route took us to Farm to Market Rd 783:

Along the we spied a ranch called Vic's Exotics - this is a ranch that deals in sale, buying, trading, and removing exotic animals from property.

But you know us, there are times you just have to stop, turn around and go back. I just wish I have on jeans for closer look at this place:

Our final stop was a small town called "Harper":

But alas all good photos must come to an end.
