Wow - What Happen

We're here, where exactly is here?

Show Low, Az., yes we are back. Elevation 6400 Ft. Cool weather and rain. Yes that precipitation that comes down from the sky. In fact in the last 2 weeks, we have amassed over 5" within our area.

Here it is Aug 6th, and no rain in the last 2 days. Moisture is down a few points, it is easier to work without a shower or two. So what happen from today from the Last Blog?

Pinedale Chuckwagon Event today. Proceeds benefit the Clay Pool and Pinedale volunteer fire department. So that is where we all headed.

We will be ending up with this

When we started from this and I don't mean Dakota

We went to a Hummingbird Banding event at the
SIPE White Mountain Wildlife Area.

In addition, Susan was able to hold a Brazilian Armour Dillo, and a Hedge Hog.

Now I told you about the rain, right? Well we missed thi, but it pour while we were out. This is what we came back to. THIS IS NOT OUR CABIN. But this is leading to our driveway.

Creek behind our cabin

We stopped in Creede Colorado to visit with Pat and Kathleen, where Pat made a great Brisket for everyone.

Prior to heading to Creede, we stopped in to Visit Rose, a very close friend. She now lives in Las Animas, Co.
You know, one of these days I will explain the story about "he who is without Sin, throw the first stone". But that is another post.

Ok, on Sunday, we did our thing and headed out around 8am on the 24th of July. Distance to Show Low - 429 Miles. Yes we can do it. We arrived just in time, east of Holbrook, for a Dust Storm, followed up by a very good rain storm down to Snowflake.

We switch drivers (me now) and we headed out. Only to get off at the next exit due to high winds. Our time was short before the winds died down and we headed South.

We have not seen this must water in ages, especially over the road.

2020 Yuma Bound or How to Keep your Bubble

We headed south on Tuesday Sep. 15. Our first destination? Bountiful, UT., where our plans are to see very close friends:

Karen, Will & Pat, Kathleen

Karen

Will

Alone our way, we stopped at a rest stop just outside Dubois, ID. Nothing special, just a spot on the map.

On Thur., we spent time at the Hill Air Force Base museum. Where we capture a few photo ops:

After one last great evening with Karen & Will, it was time to continue our homeward journey.

Our journey would lead us to a town named Creede, located in the high mountains of Colorado. Where close friends Kathleen & Pat Bustamante have a summer hideout.

Our time spent here has  been amazing, Pat & Kathleen has taken us out to their slice of  heaven.
