The Cover photo shows a Sizaire Naudin Automobile

The next 2 photos show 1 of 3 that is left in the world.  This one is currently being restored

For Complete history of the Sizaire Naudin - Press Here

Powered by a single-cylinder engine with a very long stroke, it was a light car, with the rear differential and three-speed gearbox in one combined unit, a single-plate clutch, independently sprung front wheels using sliding pillars and a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The car proved to be not only revolutionary, but also a sales success; a heady two cars per day now being produced.

Then, as now, racing was seen as an effective way to promote one’s automotive wares. Sizaire-Naudin entered a car driven by Georges in the inaugural 1906 Coupe des Voiturettes and duly won the race. In 1907 and 1908 the company achieved famous double victories, Naudin taking top honor's, with Georges in second place on both occasions.

Maurice and Georges Sizaire, built autos for racing. They were build for 1 thing and 1 thing only Road Racing. Each one was Custom made. There were only 9 built, and only 3 vehicles remain in the world.

Everything about the car was built for speed. The co-pilot was seated in a angle for wind resistance.

The auto in the right side is the one being restored

Arrived Aug 15 - Home

Wrapping up our arrival back to Show Low.

We left Albuquerque, NM around 6:30am, with a stop at Gallop, NM for breakfast. We arrived back on Thursday Aug 15, around noon. We refueled at Maverick Station for $3.119 gal., using our Nitro Card.

Along the way back we ended up having heating problems, seems as long as the outside temp was 80 degrees or less and we maintain a watch on the coolant temperature we were ok, but once the outside went above 85, we were constantly raising our temperature. We knew we just could not dissipate the heat in the engine thru the radiator.

We continue this way until we stopped, refuel, then everything cool down.

Then just 3 miles home and we arrived home.

Yes, a little strange, as normally we stop along the way and find interesting sites, but this time due to the outside temps, it was better to head home.

Nothing really exciting along the way a few photos ops but we did cross 5 state lines on the way home.

Now, if you want exciting - well let me tell you something.

Seems my lovely wife is now allergies to bees. All the stings from bees, scorpions, and other insects. Well there comes a time, there is 1 to many.
