Beaver Creek Yukon

What? we're back in Bever Creek, Yukon. and this time we did it in one day from Valdez. We started out, early, getting ready to leave, dump, connect up, and head out. But first we met a couple who's beagle got loose, and they were looking for her. Your first thought is they did this? But no, it was the dog walker, and they are staying extra days searching for her.

So, I posted on the Valdez Facebook, and sent out 2 texts to friends to be on the lookout.  As we left we watch closely, as they were told she was seen on the bike path. We pray that she is found and returned safety.

Ok, so we left around 8:10am and headed north, me driving first. Our goal was Tok, Ak, at the Northern Energy Tesoro for refueling. Diesel, wash and decide what next. Since Beaver Creek was only about 90 miles, we decided to continue on. Even though is was through the construction zone. Well we thought total of 8 hours from Valdez to Bever Creek. We were very close to that. Our average speed about 40 mph.

We had learned many things about the roads. Look for cones, flags and then learned about look at the road itself. An example, the different colors. In this case tan, original base, Dark Black new, and any other color watch out, as pop holes are their along with big dips. Which going too fast can send your Rv through the air.

All in all, 344 miles in about 8 hours along with the refueling stop.

Ok, let's talk about places where we have been, but not mention:

Whitter, Portage Glacier, Portage Glacier Lake, Chitna, few miles on the road to McCarty. Oh not to forget Wrangles-St. Elias Visitor center. Just to name a few. Photos ? Yes, but later.

Well maybe a few now:

Beaver Creek

We let a bicyclist go ahead of us at the Canadian Port of Entry

Now the rig above is a Monster -
