Ok, so where did we leave off? Hum, think it was in Puerto Penasco, Mx.
Right where my laptop decided to crash out and not quite burn. Luckily I caught it in time, before it crashed all the way. Once back in Casa Grande, Az., I located a very good tech, and after some discussion he was able to burn a new hard drive and installed it, not only for me, but also in Susan’s laptop.
Now needless to say, PP, was a blast, especially the last week. weather was great, nights were fun, we found many a side walk food vendor for lunch and enjoyed the friends until one by one they started leaving.
By Friday, it was Beth, David Susan and me. Since Beth and David were leaving on Saturday, Susan and I decided to head out at the same time. So Sat. morning came and we were on the road by 7:15. we arrived at the border crossing around 8:30, where this time I read the signs very closely and drove to the right far lane. This lane said RV’s. So once in, found everything was ok, we were able to make a quick left turn and then turn right into the far left lane and out we were.
Once on the road we switch drivers in Ajo and Susan took the wheel. Since our lot in Rover’s Roost was still occupied, we decided to head to Fiesta Grande Rv resort for the 2 nights. While their we met up with Alfa friends and talked about out adventures in Puerto Penasco. Needless to say, we made it very tempting for our Alfa friends to want to join us either in Oct., or again March 2018.
Anyway Monday came and we headed to our lot and waited for a delivery of 4 tons of rock to be delivered and dumped on the lot. Right at 1PM, truck came and the nice driver dumped it exactly where we wanted it. Within 2 hours we had the rock spread and DaGirls II setup and ready for a break. Of course we did this in 95 degree temperature with rakes and shovels.
Ok, so here we are, setup and sitting down and relaxing outside in the evening enjoying ourselves. next thing we are deciding what to do and how to do it. So, our decision was first, we were going to fix and paint the shed.
So, the next thing you know we were fixing, painting, cleaning all sorts of thing in, out of the Rv. Susan removed the hall way doors, since we never used them, made and hung up photos presented to me from Dan and Donna Thorn,
Needless to say, we spent many a day keeping busy, including a trip to Gold Canyon to see our close friends Kathy and Wayne Taubman. Oh by the way we also brought back around 25 Lbs. of Shrimp for Pat and Kathleen. Oh, by the way, we are going to miss the shrimp fest at their place.
Oh, another item for discussion, on a Friday, Mike, John and myself headed out for a man day to Tempe and Mesa. Mike needed to go to a Hobby shop for his RC airplanes, seems he needed some items so this was a good chance to give the wives a day alone without us.
While up their I purchase a drone for $100. This seem the best way to try and practice flying. But this drone had a working camera. You know what ? On the second day of flying, I lost it. I mean I really lost it. The wind came up, and press the land button and then the off button, saw it land and then I could not find it.
The next thing Susan and I are both out there looking for it, and we could not find it. How do you like those apples, or in this case, lost drone. Anyway, Susan had just purchase another one for me the day before ($100), and now I am waiting for calm winds to fly this one. Maybe I should get one that has the Return to Home, for my next one, we’ll see.
Now onto our next adventure, On to the 2017 Alfa Roadrunner’s rally in Tucson. We will be leaving on Sunday and heading the 70 or 80 miles down to Rincon West Rv resort.
Oh by the way, I am typing this on my new Lenovo Yoga, 2 in 1 laptop. Info on this really nice 2-in-1 can bee viewed HERE. Since then I have been transferring files, photos, Microsoft Office for both systems. This was the long part of the process. Of course it all takes time, to get it the way each of us wants it’s.
